The Lincoln Avenue Church of God is affiliated with The Church of God (Anderson, IN). The congregation's humble beginning was on the Ohio River with the “Floating Bethel” Houseboat. Formal incorporation took place on Pittsburgh’s East Side in 1910.
Over the years, the congregation and the National Association of the Church of God bonded and formed a conduit for missionary endeavors, which produced many pastors and leaders in the church. Many of Lincoln Avenue's pastors were of national renown, giving leadership to the Kingdom’s charge. The congregation continues to be a witness for Jesus Christ and builds on the faithful service of the Saints in the “Church Triumphant”. The seeds planted are yet bearing fruit.
For more than 116 years our congregation has been led by ten pastors. We are now looking for the next shepherd leader to take the baton and lead our congregation into the future. If you feel called or know of someone who may be interested, click on Pastor Opportunity for more information.
